くずまき塩の道トレイル(個人の部)

The Kuzumaki Shio no Michi Trail is a trail running event held in Kuzumaki Town, Iwate Prefecture, with the event base at Mori no Kodama-kan, part of Kuzumaki Wine. The race uses a section of the historic “Shio no Michi,” or Salt Road, a route connected with the transport of salt from Noda Village toward Morioka City. The event presents trail running as a way to experience and preserve a route filled with local history, linking outdoor sport with regional heritage and landscape. It is organized by the Kuzumaki Shio no Michi Trail Executive Committee, with cooperation from Kuzumaki Town, the Iwate Shio no Michi Trail Club, and NPO Runfield Japan. The organizer describes its broader mission as maintaining, preserving, and passing down Iwate’s Salt Road through trail running and other outdoor activities. A portion of participant fees is used for the maintenance and improvement of the Salt Road so that it can be kept for the future.
