第10回 大阪七福神&天王寺七坂新春ウォーキング
Osaka Seven Lucky Gods & Tennoji Seven Slopes New Year Walking is a non-competitive free walking event built around the New Year tradition of visiting shrines and temples associated with the Seven Lucky Gods. In Japanese belief, these seven deities have long been revered as bringers of good fortune, prosperity, and happiness, and visiting each of them at the beginning of the year is said to bring blessings. The event starts in the New Year atmosphere of Osaka and combines a pilgrimage to Osaka’s Seven Lucky Gods with a walk through the Tennoji Seven Slopes, giving participants a way to experience local history, urban scenery, and seasonal customs on foot. Participants proceed at their own pace on public roads while following traffic rules and courtesy. Staff members accompany the event, and those who are not confident navigating with the map can follow staff guidance. The experience is designed more as a cultural and wellness walk than a timed sporting competition, with an emphasis on enjoying Osaka’s temples, shrines, slopes, and city streets in a relaxed but organized setting.
