第18回 ワールドランナーズ・ジャパン（WRJ）チャリティーリレーfor AFRICA －アフリカの子どもたちの未来のために－

The World Runners Japan Charity Relay for AFRICA is a charity running event built around a simple idea: by running, participants can contribute to efforts to end hunger and support children and communities in Africa. The event welcomes a lively, accessible atmosphere, including costume participation, while keeping its focus on practical support generated through participation fees and donations from runners and supporters. After necessary operating expenses are deducted, surplus funds are directed to humanitarian projects such as providing meals for malnourished children living in slum areas in Kenya, supporting dormitory construction in poor communities in Tanzania, and funding scholarships for girls from economically disadvantaged families in Tanzania. The event is organized so that healthy participants can take part without special qualifications, making it approachable for a wide range of runners and families. It also includes timing, post-event record certificates, and award recognition by event category. More than a competition, the relay frames running as a direct act of solidarity, connecting an everyday sporting activity with food, education, and living-support initiatives for children and young people in Africa.
