第1回 お伊勢さん125社めぐりコース1
Oisesan 125 Shrine Pilgrimage is a maranic-style event centered on Jingu, commonly known as Ise Jingu, the collective name for the Inner Shrine, Outer Shrine, auxiliary shrines and other associated sanctuaries that together make up 125 shrine sites. Course 1, titled “Sea and Riverside Pilgrimage,” takes participants through the Ise-Shima area, including Shima, Toba, Futami, the Isuzu River area, Ominato and Kamiyashiro. The event is designed as a flexible pilgrimage in motion: participants may walk or run between sites at their own pace, while shrine precincts must be entered slowly, quietly and respectfully for worship. The source presents the course as a way to encounter four qualities: physical movement, spiritual renewal, the stillness of mythic forests, and the food culture of the sacred land where offerings are made to the deities. It also frames the experience within the long history of Jingu, revered for more than two thousand years and described as a spiritual home of the Japanese people. By visiting shrines set among seashores, riversides, fields and woods, participants are invited to experience the varied landscapes of Ise and the serene atmosphere of sacred spaces.
